U.S. Senate: Carnahan lacks experience
When a mechanic, teacher, or pilot dies, we empathize for those close to them. But do we then hire their wives to work on our cars, teach our children, or fly our planes? Certainly not! Why? Because wewant someone with experience doing those jobs which will affect our future and our security.
Why, then, was Jean Carnahan sent to the Senate two years ago? Sympathy, plain and simple. Having seen her during the recent debates, it’s obvious Mrs. Carnahan has moved on, two years after the tragic death of her husband. I believe it’s time we, as Missourians, do the same.
Next Tuesday, we have the opportunity to elect to the Senate a man with experience; a man who effectively represented Missouri for sixteen years in our state’s House of Representatives and U.S. Congress; a man who truly represents Missouri values; a man who believes in faith, family, and freedom; a man who is concerned about jobs, health care, education, and a strong military.
On November 5th, we have the opportunity to setthe record straight. We have an opportunity, I pray we do not forego. We have the opportunity to send Jim Talent to the United States Senate.
